The owners of this ideal block perched on top of a hill in the centre of the seaside town of Warrnambool wanted a stylish, low maintenance, energy efficient home.
Warrnambool’s pre-eminent architect Mat Morse was brought in to fulfil the brief. What resulted was inspired by an American mid-century modern aesthetic, featuring charred timber externally.
PAG was specified for the supply of windows and doors, a clear recognition of our capabilities in the supply of bespoke architectural products. Solid timber hardwood reveals and expansive windows and doors fulfilled the architect’s vision.
The ThermalHeart™ product range when combined with Low E double glazing achieved excellent energy efficiency. The use of stainless steel ICON™ hardware suited the coastal environment as well as standing up to the demands of family living.
The finished home incorporates an exquisite balance of timber, stone and metal that meets all three design imperatives.
